Patrycja Bober, Institute of Macromolecular Chemistry, CAS, Czech Republic
Among the most anticipated highlights of MIPOL2025, which will be held from June 18 to 20 at the University of Milan, are the keynote lectures—an opportunity to hear directly from leading voices in the field of polymer science.
We are especially pleased to welcome Patrycja Bober as one of this year’s keynote speakers. Her lecture, scheduled for Friday, June 20 at 09:00 AM, promises to be a compelling exploration of innovative materials and their real-world impact.
Let’s get to know her better.
Introducing Patrycja!
• Since 2019, she has been the Head of the Department of Conducting Polymers at the Institute of Macromolecular Chemistry of the Czech Academy of Sciences.
• Patrycja Bober received her Ph.D. in polymer chemistry from the Charles University, Prague, Czech Republic.
• Her post-doctoral activity was at the Åbo Akademi University, Turku, Finland.
• In 2018 she received the The Otto Wichterle Award. for most promising young scientists up to the age of thirty-five employed at the Czech Academy of Sciences.
What is Patrycja’s research field?
Patrycja’s leads an internationally recognized group, whose research activity deals with the preparation and application of conducting polymers in various fields, including energy storage, controlled adsorption and photocatalytic decomposition of water contaminants, sensors, just to mention a few. To achieve these results, she is involved in the preparation of conducting polymers and their composites with organic and inorganic materials, by chemical or electrochemical polymerization regarding the control of polymer morphology and electrical conductivity.
